The Saskatchewan Book Awards held an online ceremony for its 2022 competition on the evening of Thursday, June 23rd. 13 Awards were presented to Saskatchewan writers and publishers in a ceremony hosted by Corner Gas star Eric Peterson, and SaskBooks is proud to recognize our members who took home awards.
2022 Saskatchewan Book Awards Winners
Thistledown Press was acknowledged with a win in the First Book Award for Only If We’re Caught by Theressa Slind.
University of Regina Press won three awards altogether: Bread & Water by dee Hobsbawn-Smith won the Non-Fiction Award; Cold Case North by Michael Nest with Deanna Reder and Eric Bell won the Publishing Award; and Mācī-Anihināpēmowin by L. Lynn Cote & Margaret R. Cote won the Publishing in Education Award.
Gabriel Dumont Institute Press was awarded the Indigenous People’s Publishing Award for 20.12 m by Arnolda Dufour Bowles.
