SaskBooks is looking for a recent graduate and Young Canada Works program participant to join our team as our Book Week Coordinator and general awesome person from June 2022 to March 2023. Sound interesting? Read below for more details.
Duties
Under the direction of SaskBooks staff, the Intern will be responsible for coordinating reading events and attending sales across the province, assisting with professional development events, fulfilling sales orders, and other administrative tasks.
Working with SaskBooks, the Intern will have the opportunity learn valuable administrative skills and become familiar with the publishing industry and the non-profit sector.
Qualifications
Applicants should have recently received a degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field. Event coordination, administration, or sales experience are valuable, as is familiarity with the Google Suite. Strong communication skills are a must, as is a love of books, reading, and an interest in the Saskatchewan and Canadian book industry.
Some work will take place outside of standard office hours, but flexibility around working hours and locations is available.

Remuneration
$16.67 per hour, 30 hours per week, 48 weeks, including vacation and sick time, with a possibility for flexible working hours.
